Xiaomi launched Redmi 3 earlier than its scheduled time which was on Tuesday. It officially revealed all the features of the smart phone. The phone will be available at a pricing of CNY 699 which is equivalent to INR 7,000 or US $ 105. You can find the phone now listed on the company site in China with pricing details. Xiaomi will be announcing the availability details soon. With this pricing, the Redmi 3 will give tough competition to Lenovo Vibe K4 Note and Meizu m2 note. The phone will be having a metal body and will have a textured rear panel. The panel has a design that is Inspired by “the stars in the night sky.”
XiaomiRedmi 3 has a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The new device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor which is clocked at 1.5GHz . The phone has a 2GB DDR3 RAM with an internal memory of 16GB that can be expanded up to 128 GB through a microSD card. The phone packs a 4100mAh non-removable battery. The phone features an Adreno 405 GPU and runs on MIUI 7. The Android version is yet to be released by Redmi 3.
The phone sports a 13-megapixel camera at the back with LED flash, PDAF autofocus and f/ 2.0 aperture. It has 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video conferences. 1080p full-HD video recordings are supported by both the cameras. Redmi 3 is a dual SIM phone with hybrid SIM slot i.e. one Nano SIM and the other Micro SIM. The phone also has 4G LTE connectivity that has full support for LTE bands in India. The phone features GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, Glonass, A-GPS, Wi-Fi and Micro-USB. The phone has a dimension of 139.3×69.6×8.5mm and weighs around 144 grams. The phone will be available in three colour variants – Gold, Grey, and Silver.
