Just before Xiaomi’s May 10 event, the soon to be announced Mi Max smart phone and the next-generation Mi Band have been spotted online in leaked images. In one of the aforementioned images, the company’s upcoming Mi Max smart phone gives the first purported glimpse of the phablet. The new leaked image that first surfaced on Mobipicker contradicts an earlier report that claimed that the Mi Max may sport Mi Note-like design. An earlier report had also hinted that Mi Max may feature a similar design language to the Xiaomi’s flagship, the Mi 5. In the new leaked live image, the Mi Max is seen with three capacitive buttons while the previously leaked image had brought to notice that the phablet may feature a physical home button. The leaked image also shows the side profile of the handset.
Based on the leaks, the company’s Mi Max is expected to feature a massive 6.4-inch display, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, a hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB inbuilt storage, a 16-megapixel primary, and a 5-megapixel secondary camera.

In another leaked image on Weibo, the company’s alleged Mi Band 2 has also been spotted featuring a display. As rumoured previously, the Mi Band 2 leaked image shows a display that displays time along with other fitness related details. The leaked image also shows the display of the wearable which shows the battery status of the device. Previously, images in the internet showed Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun wearing a smart band, which was believed to be the Mi Band 2. The next-generation Mi Band is expected to decrease the user’s dependence on the connected smart phone and would sport a small display. Several reports on the internet claim that the display on the new Mi Band would be the highlight feature of the device and it will be the biggest improvement over the older generation.
