Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Colours

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Launched in India Starting From INR 9,999; First Flash sale at 12pm on 23 January 2017

The Redmi Note 4 has been launched in India and don’t get excited too much as it does not come with the MediaTek Helio X20 SoC. Last year in the month of August, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 4 in China and the kind of hardware introduced in it shot our excitement to a whole new level. It featured a Deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 SoC clocked at 2.1GHz. This is coupled with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU and gets 3 GB of RAM and 32GB ROM or 64GB ROM. While the SoC game for the China version is all up and high, the Note 4 launched in India does not feature the same configuration.

Due to some legal restrictions, Xiaomi cannot roll out MediaTek devices in India. So inside of the India-spec Redmi Note 4 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC. To make up for the 2 core lost in the process, Xiaomi has launched three variants of the Redmi Note 4 with different RAM and ROM combination. The variant wise prices of the Redmi Note 4 are as follows:

Redmi Note 4 2GB RAM + 32GB Memory – INR 9,999

Redmi Note 4 3GB RAM + 32GB Memory– INR 10,999

Redmi Note 4 4GB RAM + 64GB Memory– INR 12,999

The phone will be exclusively sold through Flipkart and will be available in three colours – Gold, Dark Grey, and Black. The first flash sale will be on 23 January 2017 at 12 pm. Looking at the RAM + ROM configuration options and the new Black version we are not that disappointed, but to get your hands on the Black Note 4 you will have to wait till the next flash sale.

The Note 4 features a 13MP rear camera instead of the 16MP on the Note 3 but Xiaomi claims that a lot of tweaks and improvements have been done to the setup on both sides for better performance. In terms of design, the Note 4 gets sharper at the edges and corners than the relatively curvy Note 3. It is fitted with a 2.5D curved glass. The phone also gets a two speaker grille at the bottom but only one houses the speaker while the other is done up just to complete the design appeal. A couple of extra core in the CPU would have been great but that would have also shot the price up a bit.
