Some of the qualities and functionalities that were earlier available on email apps like Outlook and Inbox which are popular among the users, will now be included in the latest version of the Yahoo! Mail application.
Yahoo! Mail app had a major redesign in autumn 2015 and now has an updated set of functions. You can now move or delete a group of message by simply pressing and holding the selection. Toggling between Outlook, Google, AOL or several Yahoo! Accounts is also set to become easier. A new set of customizable swipe controls have also been included. Swipe the message in the inbox left or right to mark it read, mark it as spam, archive it and to move it to a different folder or to delete it. Yahoo! Mail can be downloaded free of cost from Google Play (Android) or Apple’s App Store (iOS).
These functions are already seen in many popular email apps including Outlook. Microsoft’s app is the most function-rich and the most innovative email application among the ones in the market. It provides a single handy app that manages user’s various email accounts, files and calendars. To sort through a long list of emails, outlook uses swipe actions.
We can link Yahoo! Mail and Outlook with other accounts of other email services but Google’s Inbox can only be linked to Gmail accounts. Google keeps adding innovating functions like the new Smart Reply tool. This tool analyses messages and then based on it suggests three short template responses. This app can also add real-time information like the status of an online order, relating to a message’s content.
Google’s Inbox main competitor is Mailbox, that’s set to close on 26th February 2016. It was developed by Dropbox mainly to shake up the way we use email by enabling users sort and archive messages in a new and intuitive way.
