NVIDIA hosted the Gamer Connect event on June 25, 2017 at the Montecristo Banquet in Ahmedabad. More than 1,600 gamers took part in the second edition of NVIDIA’s flagship event. NVIDIA sees the Gamer Connect as a way of uniting the Indian gaming community and also as an opportunity to introduce new technology in the world of PC gaming. The first event was held in Kolkata in April earlier this year and gamers were equally enthusiastic to participate.
Dell and LG, as event partners, also got a chance to showcase their latest products. AAA titles like Mass Effect: Andromeda, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands mesmerized the gamers on LG’s new range of curved ultrawide monitors with an aspect ratio of 21:9, up to 4K resolution and up to 144 Hz of refresh rate. LG exhibited a variety of monitors for both casual and competitive gamers.
“NVIDIA is really proud of Gamer Connect, the flagship event started in 2015 with just 300 gamers. Today through various activities we have connected with close to 3 million gamers online. It’s an event that connects gamers across the country and shows them the best gaming experience available. We want to bring the Indian gaming industry at par with international standards, widen horizons and hone their skills to test them against other gamers worldwide through such initiatives!” said Vamsi Krishna, Head – Consumer Marketing, South Asia, NVIDIA during the event.
NVIDIA also exhibited their latest Graphics Cards based on the latest Pascal Architecture. The gamers were given a chance to experience VR and the beauty of 4K resolution. Dell showcased their latest laptops coupled with the NVIDIA 10-series graphics cards. The 10-series graphics cards, compared the last-gen Maxwell architecture, provide up to 75% more performance and better power efficiency for notebooks.
