The Google I/O unfolded today with the intention to let the world know what the company has planned for the upcoming year. If you missed tuning in to the greatest event of all time, here is a quick recap of everything that transpired there. Among the several interesting announcements made, one of the most awaited announcements was about Android N. Each new iteration of the Google’s own Operating System is a tremendous change over its predecessor and has the capability to make one’s device look and feel new without having to buy a brand new device. With Google working full swing on the next version, people and developers worldwide are waiting for more information on Android N. Here is what Google had to say.

Android Instant Apps is being considered as an exciting new development announced by Google. Now, this is going to be an update that is supported all the way up to Android Jelly Bean and users who do not or will not receive Android N on their devices can also look forward to it. With Android Instant, app developers can use a URL to trigger a custom deployment of an app. This means that users will be able to load the app, without having to install it on their devices. It is very much similar to the way web pages are loaded.

Android Instant can also therefore help in getting around space related issues on user’s devices. This is because the code needed to run the part of the application that is relevant at the moment to the user is downloaded over the air to the device. Thus the app can be run with a limited functionality based on the current need of the user. Users can choose to install the application if they want to.
