If you missed tuning in to the greatest event of all time, here is a quick recap of everything that transpired there. Among the several interesting announcements made, one of the most alluring announcements that will soon see the light of the day is Allo. Set to revolutionise the field of mobile chatting, Google has come up with an all new messaging app with Google Assistant built right into it. Imagine having a dedicated assistant to manage all your chat related tasks. This sure makes it much more interesting than anything we have seen till date. This messaging app is coupled with a video calling app as well, the Duo.

Duo – If you haven’t noticed it yet, this Allo and Duo combination is much like Apple’s way of splitting iMessages and FaceTime. However, Google being what it is, is all set to make it even more interesting than its closest rivals. Duo shall come with a very interesting feature called “Knock Knock”. This feature lets one preview what is happening at the caller’s end before one receives the call. So when a call is ringing, imagine your friend with a surprised expression waiting for you to answer the call so that he / she can show you the latest deal they received at the mall. It just feels so surprisingly natural.

At this moment, we aren’t aware of whether Google has integrated the Assistant into Duo as well. If it has, Knock Knock isn’t going to be all that one will get along with Duo. There are bound to be other interesting features that  are sure to make life much easier than what already is.
