Popular among users for providing a near stock Android experience, Moto phones are also one of the first to receive OS updates. If you happen to be one of those, Motorola has started rolling out Android 7.0 update for Moto G4 and G4 Plus users in India.
Users will get an automated notification on their phone, post which they can follow the on-screen instructions and install the update. However, if you don’t see one, you may also manually go to Settings > About Phone > System Updates and check if your device is ready to download and install the update.
According to Lenovo, changes include new multitasking features, more efficient notification controls and improved data saver and battery features. Moto-specific updates, beyond what comes with Nougat, include a new Moto action called ‘Swipe to shrink the screen’. The Moto G4 Plus gets a new setting to disable and enable locking the screen when the screen is on and you touch the fingerprint sensor.
