Motorola had released the list of devices scheduled to receive the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the month of October when the OS was officially launched. Moto E (4G) was a notable absentee in the list and it raised plenty of eyebrows as devices launched before the launch of Moto E (4G) were present. However, Motorola has now revised the said list on its website and users who bought Moto E (4G) will be delighted to know that their devices will not be ignored. The 3G only variant of the same device will not receive the update and will be stuck with Android Lollipop.
The Marshmallow update to Moto E (4G) will be available in Canada, Latin America, Europe and Asia (excluding China). The Moto E is a budget smart phone from the company and the 4G version takes the game of budget smart phones to an entirely new level. The features offered are a steal, especially considering the aggressive pricing Motorola has put on the device. This budget smart phone with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow is sure to cause quite a craze among its users. The earlier absence from the aforementioned list could have just been an oversight or it is also possible that Motorola has revised its decision on the same.
The other devices that are scheduled to receive the update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow are Moto X Play, Moto Turbo, Moto G (3rd Generation), Moto G (2nd Generation), Droid Turbo and Moto Maxx. Motorola has already started pushing the OTA update to the latest android OS on Moto X Style and Moto X (2nd Generation). Users from around the world are set to receive the update in due course of time.
Motorola has several devices in all budget ranges, right from the Moto E series which is a true budget phone to Moto G, which are mid budget phones and Moto X series that are high end phones but still available at a cheaper price than its competitors.
