The ZenFone Go series has been a good bet for those who’ve been hunting for a smartphone on a budget. Launched in 2015, ASUS’ Go series hasn’t seen a major upgrade throughout its life cycle, but that could change now. A report indicates that an all new ASUS ZenFone 3 Go will be launched at the MWC 2017 in Barcelona this month.
Rumored to be priced at EUR 150 (Approx Rs.10,500), a leaked render has given away specifications of the phone. The device is expected to feature a 5-inch HD display and could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with 2GB of RAM. Default internal storage could be 16 GB, with a microSD slot for expansion. The Asus ZenFone 3 Go could sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with a 1.4 μm pixel size, while the front snapper could be a 5-megapixel lens with a soft LED flash for low-light selfies.
In comparison to the previous gen device, the rear camera lens moves to the sides, to sit just above the flash unit. The report suggests that the device could come with dual MEMS Microphones for noise suppression and a five-magnet speaker system. Tipped to be available in shades of Black, Pink and Gold, the ZenFone 3 Go’s hardware could be packed inside an all-metal body, which will in all probability miss out on a fingerprint sensor.
