MWC 2017: HTC to launch One X10; Image leaked

HTC is tipped to launch an upgrade to the One X9 at the MWC 2017. To be called the One X10, the 5.5-inch device will carry minor upgrades in comparison to its predecessor. In an image that has leaked online before the phone’s official launch, it is seen sporting an all-metal design and a rear facing fingerprint sensor.

Featuring capacitive buttons at the front, the device is expected to run Android 7.0 out-of-the box. Compared to the X9, the X10’s camera will witness an upgrade. However, the rest of the hardware will in all probability be carried over. The HTC One X10 is likely to feature a 5.5-inch full HD display and will be powered by an octa-core MT6755V/C processor clocked at 1.9GHz with Mali T860 graphics. The device will come with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Optics on the HTC One X10 will include a 16.3MP rear camera and a 7.9MP front shooter.

On the other hand, the One X9 features a 5.5-inch full HD display, a Mediatek X10 octa-core 64-bit processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The rear camera is a 13MP lens with 1.12 μm pixels and OIS support, while the front snapper is a 5MP lens with 1.12 μm pixels. Powering all that hardware is a 3000 mAh battery.

HTC recently launched their EVO 10 smartphone in India at a price of Rs.48,990. The phone’s USP is HTC’s BoomSound Adaptive Audio and its Type-C ‘dual adaptive’ headphone which adapts itself to the user’s ear structure and hearing to tailor the sound output. Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, backed with 3GB RAM. In terms of storage, one gets 32GB of onboard memory with the option to expand it to 2TB using a microSD card. Running Android 7.0 Nougat Out-of-the-box with HTC Sense on top, the HTC EVO 10 features a 5.5-inch QuadHD display with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, affixed to the phone’s aluminium unibody chassis which is water, dust and splash resistant.
