New Nokia 3310 to feature colour display, ‘Snake’ and could cost approximately Rs.4000

Alright then. Nokia is a couple of days away from making big announcements at the MWC 2017. However, the device which has all of the world’s attention is not one of their new Android powered smartphones, but a reincarnation of the legendary Nokia 3310. While there were rumors earlier that it will be powered by Android, what was once the largest selling phone in the world, the 3310 will continue to remain a ‘Feature’ phone.

Looks wise, the new Nokia 3310 will not be very different than its predecessor. However, it will be lighter, thinner and even better looking. Also, where the original came with a 84 x 84 B&W display, this new version will sport a colour display, but don’t expect it to be the AMOLED kinds. It will be in-line with the phone’s image. Also, unlike, the Navy Blue shade it gained its popularity in, the new Nokia 3310 will be shipped in multiple color options like Red, Yellow and Green.

Further, the device will feature a really long lasting battery, which will rest inside a solidly built body. The new 3310 is also expected to ship with applications like a simple clock, calculator, a reminder app, and popular games (Snake II, Pairs II, Space Impact, and Bantumi) which made it a Star back then. The new Nokia 3310 is set to be priced at EUR 59 (approximately Rs 4,000) and will be unveiled alongside the Nokia 3, and the flagship Nokia 8 on February 26 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. There are also rumors that the device could be introduced in the Indian market by May 2017.
