New Phone at Rs.15,000: ASUS ZenFone 3S MAX with Android 7.0, 5000 mAh battery launched

Their first launch for India in 2017, the ASUS Zenfone 3S MAX has been officially launched in India today. It has been priced at Rs. 14,999 and will be immediately available at offline and online retail channels in a shade of Black and Sand Gold.

Wrapped in a metal unibody, the ASUS Zenfone 3S MAX features a massive 5000 mAh battery and runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. The phone features a fingerprint scanner that has been embedded in the Home button, which ASUS claims, allows for the phone to be unlocked in 0.5 seconds and can recognize up to 5 fingers.

The device features a 5.2-inch HD display which is covered under 2.5D glass, has a contoured edge and features a built-in Bluelight filter. Powering the phone is a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage. The handset supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 2TB). The ZenFone 3S Max sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5P Largan lens, and dual-LED real-tone flash. The front snapper is an 8-megapixel lens and supports HDR, provides an 85-degree wide-angle lens and features a low-light and beautification mode.

The dual-SIM ZenFone 3S Max supports reverse charging capability, meaning, it can act as a power bank for other smartphones when required. Connectivity options on board include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.0, and GPS/ A-GPS. There’s a dual-microphone setup for noise cancellation, and an ICE power-enhanced mono loudspeaker. The 3S MAX is 8.5mm thick and weighs 175 grams.
