QuakeCon 2016 confirmed, dates and location announced

Bethesda Softworks has announced that QuakeCon will return next year. The event will take place August 4-7 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas.

For the video game festival featuring North America’s largest bring-your-own-computer LAN party, guests can enjoy a special room rate of $169 per night as long as you reference QuakeCon 2016 when booking your room. The event itself is open to the public and is free for everyone to enter, as it is sponsored by id Software and Bethesda Softworks. However, registration does not yet appear to be open. Last year saw 12,000 people attend. Next year’s event will have panels, presentations, workshops, tournaments, and Bethesda will be showing off its upcoming games.
