Samsung Galaxy S8 & S8+ prices, specifications and live image leaked

The much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are all set to be launched at a special event in New York on March 29th. However, the release date for both devices could arrive a month later, sometime between April 21st and 29th.

Recently, prices for both the phones were leaked, where the Samsung Galaxy S8 will retail for €799 (approx Rs. 56,532), while the S8+ with its bigger display will cost €899 (Approx Rs. 63,608).

Specifications for both the devices remain similar, only the display size being the major differentiating factor. The Galaxy S8 is said to sport a 5.8-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display, whereas, the Galaxy S8+ will boast of a 6.2-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display.

Both devices will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 SoC and will be launched with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 128GB). Both will feature a 12-megapixel dual-lens rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

IceUniverse has shared a live image of the device, which confirms the dual-edge display, presence of an iris scanner, and a dedicated button for Samsung’s new AI assistant, likely to be called ‘Bixby’.
