To fend off iPhone Competition, Samsung to release phablet in August

In the beginning of August, Samsung is expected to unveil its next Note iteration. But Prior to that we have some interesting details from leaked sources of an upcoming Note phablet.

It is hinted by the teaser, with the help of Phone Arena, that there is no doubt that Samsung is skipping a numeral, and the name that they have planned for their next pallet is Galaxy Note 7. Earlier also, we had heard rumors that Samsung plans to match its numbering for the Note series with its flagship Galaxy S series Galaxy S7, now this news follows the same line. The company feels that their consumers will get confused and will start considering the new Note series to be of last year, if they stick to the same traditional order. They have also taken into consideration the fact, that in September, Apple will be releasing their iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, therefore this year, they have decided to skip a number and has simply named their new phone as Galaxy Note 7, as they do not want to confuse consumers unnecessarily.

In addition, the teaser has the words ‘write on the edge of something great’. This further proves that we will find that the Edge variant  has come back with the Galaxy Note 6 and Galaxy Note 7. Last year with the launch of Galaxy Note 5 we had seen that the company had skipped the Edge variant but this year we expect that the company will reintroduce the Edge variant in their new models. S Pen, which is an accessory synonymous with the Note series is being shown off by the teaser.

It is to be noted that, to fend off iPhone competition the phablet will be released in the beginning of August.
