YU Televentures has launched its flagship Yutopia phone. The new phone, which is touted to be the ‘most powerful’ comes with impressive hardware. Yu has priced the phone at INR 24,999. Let’s have a look all that’s notable and impressive about this much hyped smartphone.
Processing power is provided by the 64-bit QualComm Snapdragon 810 Chipset(2GHz Cortex-A57 quad-core coupled with 1.5GHz Cortex-A53 quad-core) combined with a segment topping RAM of 4GB DDR4. The Yu Yutopia comes with a 3,000mAh Li-Polymer battery, which isn’t the best in class, but Yu is claiming that with Quickcharge 2.0 it can go from 0-60% in a mere 30 minutes. The company also claims the power consumption on this one will be very low.
The handset runs on Cyanogen OS 12.1 with all the customization options, AudioFX and Live Display, fast and secure browser and more. It’s currently running the Android Lollipop 5.1 but Yutopia will soon receive Android Marshmallow based CM13 as well.
Camera is a super solid 21 megapixel Sony shooter with F 2.2 with phase detection, optical image stabilization and 0.2 seconds focus speed, it also gets zoom reduction which means the pixels do not break at peak zoom. The front shooter is also an impressive 8.0 megapixel with an ultra wide 86 degree angle. Yutopia gets an ultra low power consumption fingerprint scanner at the back. The sensor also works to take selfies with a single tap.
The Yutopia is equipped with a 5.2-inch Sharp OGS QHD display with 16:9 aspect ratio and boasts an impressive 565 PPI. Real RGB ensures a better and more natural color reproduction than its predecessor. The display also comes with a layer of OGS and full lamination which aids better sun light readability. Screen protection is provided by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. All of this in 7.2 mm thick, full metal chassis at 159gms.
The phone will be rolled out with a set of ‘House of Marley’ headphones which the company prefers calling the little bird earphones.
